Searching for Property Account Numbers |
You can search for an account number by two different methods:
Press the "Search" button when ready. You will be returned to the "Certificate Request" page, and the account number fields will be automatically filled with the results of the search. If the account number field says "0 Results Returned", then the search was unsuccessful. To search for a CONDOMINIUM: Click "Yes" on the first question (is this a Condominium plan?). Then, enter the PLAN and UNIT Number (do NOT enter the word "UNIT" into the Unit field). Leave the LOT# field blank. To see all of the Condos, Leave the UNIT # field blank, and the search will return all of the Condos for the plan# you specified.Make sure the civic description fields are blank when searching for a Condominium address. IF YOU GET NO RESULTS FOR YOUR SEARCH: The first thing to try when your search comes back empty is a more general search. If, for example, you where searching for House # 12345 on Franklin Avenue, and you got no results, try searching with only the street (Franklin Ave.) selected, but leave the House # field blank. Searching on just a street will result in every property on the street being listed in your results. Then you can review the list, and try to find house #12345. Most often, the house # is not exactly as you are searching for it. Likewise, if your search includes a Unit #, and the result comes back with no results, try leaving the Unit# blank, but include the House# and Street Name. This will search will result in all of the units for that house # and Street Name being shown. |
